Douglas Dewey Edge

Mr. Edge was born June 20, 1944 in Columbus County, son of the late Dewey Hobson Edge and Verlie Carzettie Edge. He was a hard worker and was employed over ten years as a pipefitter with Archer Daniels Midland. He never met a stranger and always put others before himself especially when he would cook for his friends and family. He enjoyed fishing, oystering and cooking. His favorite pastime was watching westerns and wrestling on television. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Edge and Clayton Edge, two sisters, Helen Lewis and Doris Edge.

Survivors include his children, Randy Douglas Edge of Winnabow and Vanessa Ann Edge of Supply; one sister, Barbara Ann of Georgia; four grandchildren, Cassie, Whitney, Cody, and Emily; and two great grandchildren, Josey and Jack; numerous nieces and nephews; and his favorite canine companion Nugget.

A memorial service will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at eleven o'clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Highway East, Bolivia, North Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
