Edward Earl Wilson

Mr. Wilson was born April 15, 1932 in Erwin, NC the son of the late William B. Wilson and Ruby Sewell Wilson. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian F. Wilson, who passed away in 2009; two brothers, Edisel and Kermit; and a sister, Naomi.

Surviving is his son Edward Earl Wilson, Jr.; and a grandson Jonathan Earl Wilson and wife Brandie of Shallotte. Edward was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was retired from the US Air Force having served in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. After his retirement he had a career as a full time barber and a Security Guard for Sunny Point Military Terminal. Mr. Wilson attended First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed telling and hearing jokes and many activities at the senior center.

A memorial service will be held on August 16, 2015 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor with Reverend Wayne Tuttle officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00PM until 2:00PM prior to the service.
