

Ms. Cumbee was born in Winnabow, NC on February 22, 1937 to the late Etheridge Lane Willetts, Sr. and the late Dorothy McDowell Willetts. She was a retired mapper for the Brunswick County Planning Department. She loved going to the racetrack to support her sons, Dean and Myron Cumbee, grandson, Jeremy Cumbee, and great-grandson, Nathan Cumbee. She also loved working in her yard, loving on her cats, and helping and caring for others. She enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She was preceded in death by her son, Myron Cumbee; a sister, Julia Faye Bertleson; brothers, E.L. Willetts, Jr., Roscoe Willetts, and Kenny Ray Willetts.
She is survived by her children, Valecia Cumbee Inman and husband, Wade, Dean Cumbee, and wife, Vicky, and Tish Cumbee; three grandsons, Wesley Inman and wife, Jessica, Justin Inman and wife, Laura, and Jeremy Cumbee and wife, Nicole; eight great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Gore, Blake Inman, Noah Cummings, Cameron Inman, Wyatt Inman, Dylan Inman, McKenna Inman, Nathan Cumbee and Grayson Inman; siblings, Jane Johnson, Arthur Lee Willetts, William Willetts, and Thurman Willetts, sisters-in-law, Joanne Willetts, and Iris Jenkins; brother-in-law, Wayne Cumbee; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 at twelve noon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel, with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. A private burial will follow.
Pallbearers will be Justin Inman, Jeremy Cumbee, Blake Inman, Cameron Inman, Dylan Inman and Jason Inman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
