Mrs. Hewett was born in Brunswick County December 19, 1946 and was daughter of the late Glynn Elbert Carpenter, Sr. and Vernie Sellers Carpenter. She was wife of the late Lloyd Gerald “Jerry” Hewett.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Hewett and wife Amy of Monroe, N.C. and Tim Hewett of Oak Island; five grandchildren, Alicia Hewett Pierce, Heather Hewett Snyder, David Hewett, Jerry Hewett, and Melanie Hewett; three great-grandchildren, Irelynn Gooden, Ryleigh Gooden, and Iris Jean Snyder; two brothers, Glynn Elbert Carpenter, Jr. and Tommy Edgar Carpenter of Supply.
Graveside funeral services will be Thursday March 30, 2017 at 11 o’clock in the morning at the Georgetown-Holden Cemetery Stanley Rd. Supply with the Reverend Sammy Jacobs officiating.
There is no visitation.
