Emily Edwards

Emily was born March 15, 1946 in New York City, daughter of the late Walter V. Prutnick and Bertie Crumpton Prutnick. She grew up in Easley, South Carolina until moving to Charlotte, North Carolina where she lived next door to the love of her life, Steve Edwards. They later married in 1964 and lived in Charlotte until making their home in Supply of 2021. Emily enjoyed shopping, fishing, and having many yard sales. Her most enjoyable times were spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a heart of gold but loved pulling pranks on everyone especially her husband Steve. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Georgia and Donna.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Steve Edwards of the home; two children, Eric Edwards and wife Brenda of Mt. Holly, North Carolina and Lance Edwards and Cindy Stuppnig of Oak Island; two grandchildren, Jennifer Edwards and Molly Edwards; 5 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Andrea and Nikki.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 16, 2023 at eleven o'clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Highway East, Bolivia, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to SECU of Brunswick, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, North Carolina 28422.
