Gregory Allen Long

Allen was born in Southport, NC on the thirteenth of February, 1960, to Janette Smith Long of Supply and the late Charles Moore Long. He was a commercial fisherman and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. A great father, fierce friend and accomplished lifelong fisherman are things he will always be remembered for. Allen was preceded in death by his father Charles Moore Long, a wife, Jill T. Long, a brother, Grady Ford Long and a niece Ashley Long.

In addition to his mother Janette Long, survivors include a loving son, Jeffrey Allen Long and his wife Rachel of Supply; five brothers, Robert H. Long of Brunswick, GA, Charles L. Long (Janet) of Cocoa Beach, FL, Carden M. “CM” Long (Gwen) of Shallotte, Joseph D. Long of Shallotte and Collie W. Long of Supply; a special sister-in-law, Peggy Long of Supply; several nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companions, ”Peanut” and “Goose”. He also leaves special friends, Wayne Thompson, Layton Reaves, Larry Holden, Jeff Evans, Jeff Gunther and Gordon Winfree.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday the ninth of April, 2017 in White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel.

You are invited to a visitation with the family for one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home at 603 Ocean Highway, East, Bolivia, NC 28462
