Gregory Lenare Phelps, 65, of Supply died Tuesday October 8, 2019 in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Mr. Phelps was born in Brunswick County on June 16, 1954 and was the son of the late Burris Lenare Phelps and Barbara Ann Dickerson Phelps. He was employed with Cottrell Engineering for over forty years. Greg was an avid knife and gun collector. He enjoyed camping and visiting the mountains and a good chew of tobacco.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Cynthia B. Phelps; two daughters, Allison Phelps (T.J. Thornton) of Supply, Courtney Milliken (Scott) of Ash; five grandchildren, Peyton, Khloe, Nicholas, Brantley, Brenlin; sister in-law, Regely Hyatt of Supply.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday October 12, 2019 at seven o'clock in the evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Supply Chapel with Reverend Landis Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Sellers, Legrand "Jabo" Phelps, Charles Phelps, Steve Brown, Pippie Evans, Alan Robinson, Freddie Evans.
