

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on March 3, 2016 at Gospel Center Baptist Church with Pastor Foyd Bennett officiating and internment will be at Sabbath Home Baptist Church immediately following the service. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 3, 2016 before the service at Gospel Center Baptist Church.
Nell was born at home in Nichols, South Carolina on May 5, 1935. She graduated from Whiteville High School on May 25, 1953 and continued on to Business School in Fayetteville, N.C. After business school she continued on in Fayetteville and worked at Carolina Telephone Company.
Nell was married to Robert Marland Taylor from December 5, 1959 until his death in 1979 and then to Corbett May Holcombe, Jr. from 1987 until his death in 1997.
Nell worked in Social Service for 8 and ½ years and retired from Civil Service in the year 2000. She always loved square dancing, fishing, camping, and upon her retirement, her goal was to help others in any way she could. Nell was an active member of the Coastline Rescue Squad from 1976 to 1979 and remained a member in good standing upon her death. She was actively involved in her church at Gospel Center Baptist Church.
Nell is survived by her two children, Kenneth D. Taylor and his wife Henny, Kimberly G. Bussey and her husband, Randy; her three grandchildren Brian Sanabanda and his wife, Martha; Kelli Cicchino and her husband, Anthony; Kevin Taylor; her two siblings, James Anderson and Jean Sweat; her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends.
Nell is preceded in death by her parents, James A. Anderson and Elizabeth Anderson; as well as her sister, Betty Young.
Family and friends are invited to return to Gospel Center Baptist Church following the committal at Sabbath Home Baptist Church for a catered reception.
