Ina Mae Mintz

Mrs. Mintz was the daughter of the late Edward and Gretta Ganey. She is also preceded in death by her late husband Henry Foster Mintz ,also two sisters; Vivien Tatum and Paula Sneedon, and one grandson; Stephen Mintz, Jr. She is survived by her two sons; Edward Franklyn Mintz and wife Diana, Stephen Foster Mintz and wife Jennie, one daughter; Joanna M. Naylor and husband John, two brothers; Harris and Lyndon L. Ganey, two sisters; Elnora Sneedon, Audrey Scott, five grandchildren; Rebekah Dey, Stuart Mintz, Martha Ann Checka, Caroline Jackson, Brian Mintz, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ina Mae spent most of her time in civic service. She was the mayor of Bolivia for many years, and was active in many community organizations including Hope Harbor Home, and Bolivia Lions Club. She was a long-time member of Bolivia Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Coble Ward-Smith Supply Chapel. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 17, 2012, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Bolivia, NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bolivia Baptist Church Building Fund.
