Mr. Cheers was born November 25, 1932 in Brunswick County and was the son of the late Jesse J. and Ethel Fulford Cheers. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a Shrimper for many years and owned and operated his boat the "Wahine". He was preceded in death by two children, Greg and Lisa Cheers.
He is survived by his wife, Nell Cheers; a son, Randy Cheers and a granddaughter, Destiny Cheers.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 11, 2022 at three o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation held at two o'clock, 1 hour prior to service in the White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel.
