Mr. Voice was born April 20, 1950, son of the late Jack and Dorothy Voice. Jeff was a devoted family man who deeply loved his wife, two children, three siblings, and four grandchildren. He was a strong and loving father, a steady rock and foundation for his family. Jeff was known for his wit, charm, and sense of humor. His wife, Nora, often said, “He never met a stranger.”
Jeff was known for his sarcasm, teasing, and ability to give everyone a hard time in a way that always made others laugh. He loved being around people, staying involved in his community, and meeting new faces wherever he went.
Golf was one of Jeff’s greatest passions. He grew up playing every Saturday with his family, and that passion eventually led him on a professional journey playing across Canada and Europe. To Jeff, golf was never just a game. Golf brought friendship, tradition, competition, and time spent with the people he loved. He valued the conversations and camaraderie on the course just as much as the game itself.
Jeff was deeply involved in his grandchildren's lives and consistently supported them at sporting events, school activities, and every milestone along the way. He learned early on that showing up with snacks and sweets was the way to make them smile. He was also a talented storyteller who crafted elaborate, comforting bedtime stories.
Jeff deeply valued hard work, fairness, and living with integrity. After spending more than 20 years in construction management, he took great pride in caring for his home and yard. Whether it was a project around the house, running errands with his wife, or tackling one of the many “honey-do” lists she gave him, Jeff was always present and happiest when taking care of his people.
At home, Jeff could often be found falling asleep before the end of a movie, snoring loudly in his chair, or sneaking Nutter Butters and sweets late at night. Those ordinary moments — the ones that once seemed small — are now among the memories his family cherishes most.
Jeff will be remembered for his strength, humor, loyalty, faith, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. His presence filled rooms, his laughter brought comfort to others, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Voice; two children, Melissa Vargas and husband Eric and Kevin Voice; three grandchildren, Kirstie Voice, Jace Voice, and Tyler Vargas; a brother, Jack Voice; a sister, Jill Beshwate; and daughter-in-law, Sara Sordi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Shane Voice; and a sister, Jan Howery.
Services will be held in Fresno, California at a later date.
