Jerry Michael Wolford

He was born March 27, 1956 in Bristol, VA and was the son of John F. Wolford, Sr. (Sonny) and Kate Dickson Wilson.

Mike graduated from Forsyth Technical Community College in 1996. He worked for Blue Ox in Kernersville, NC and retired from Terex Crane of Wilmington, NC in 2008. He married the love of his life, Angela Wiles Wolford, in October 1993.

He is predeceased by his parents, Sonny and Kate. Surviving in addition to his wife, Angela Wolford, are his son, Michael Dean Bayer of Oklahoma; daughters, Ashley Fay Maggard and husband Hoss of Walkertown, NC, Jessie Mae Barnes and husband Josh of Broadway, NC, Ricki Leigh Gupton (Babie) and Emily Nicole Wiles of Winston Salem, NC; 15 grandchildren, Miriam, Michael, Angela, Sean, Gus, Taylor, Adam, Porter, Theo, Charlie, Preston, Bennett, Sadie, Avia and Anthony; 3 great-grandchildren, Roger, Jaylen and Joel; sister, Linda Wolford of Piney Flats, TN, brothers, John Wolford, Jr. and wife Becky of Piney Flats, TN, Jeff Dickson and wife Angie of Bristol, TN; many nieces and nephews.

Mike was a loving and devoted husband, father, paw-paw, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, vacations and spending time with family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021, at three o'clock in the afternoon at Bible Baptist Church, 2428 Seashore Road SW, Supply, NC 28462. Pastor Chris Swiatocho officiating.
