Joy was born in Richmond County NC to Danny Blakely and Debra Orr on October 24, 1974. She worked as a cafeteria worker for Brunswick County Schools.
Joy is survived by her three children. Son, Timothy Smothers and wife Nicole and their children Timothy and Raylyn. Son, Davey Smothers and his child Lilah and Daughter Ashlynd. She also has two brothers Danny Blakely Jr. and wife BJ and children Kailyn, Michael and Gavin, Brother, Adam Blakely and wife Lindsay and their children AJ and Kenzee. Her mother and father Debra Orr and Danny Blakely both from Rockingham NC. Her grandmothers Doris Todd of Rockingham NC and Jocelyn Goodwin of Hamlet NC
There will be a memorial service for her at First Baptist Church in Sunset Harbor NC at 1:00 PM on Saturday July 20, 2024. All are invited!
