

Mr. Long was born in New Hanover County on March 7, 1943 and was son of the late Daniel Ennis Long and Dulith Robinson Long. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gene Allen Caison, Jr. He owned and operated DE Long & Son service station which later became Royal Oak Service Station for 45 years. After his retirement from Royal Oak Service Station, he worked for Gene Sellers and Son Construction for 10 years. He was a founding member of Supply Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years where he served as Captain and Pump Engineer. He was a member of Shallotte Lodge #727 A.F.&A.M. and had most recently received his 50 year membership pin. He was also a member of the Brunswick County Shrine Club. Mr. Long was a member of Supply Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Fulford Long of the home; children, Kennith Malcolm Long, Jr. and wife, Emily, of Shallotte and Renee Caison of Supply; grandchildren, Elizabeth Furr and husband, Isaac, Timmy Long, Christopher Long, Spencer Beecher, Ani Beecher, Kristen Isenhour and husband, Bryan, Ryan Caison.
Funeral Services will be Friday, May 2, 2025 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Supply Baptist Church with Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Royal Oak Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Mr. Long’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Cheers, Jimmy Stanley, Julian Britt, and Tony Grecco.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia Chapel.
