Linda Louise Klein

She was born January 1,1948, in Washington County MD. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Jacob and Mildred Detrow. Linda graduated from South Hagerstown High School and worked at General Motors and the Marriot Corporation. Her most important job was as a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. She was an avid bridge and card player and enjoyed hosting and attending social gatherings. Her hosting of gatherings was second to none. She loved to cook, especially locally purchased fresh seafood. She brought her Maryland taste of cooking to North Carolina with crab dip and crab cakes her specialty. Linda was a loving, giving soul and her generosity to her family and friends will never be forgotten.

Linda was a proud wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Rick Klein; daughter, Teri and husband Neal King; loving son, Patrick; eldest sister of Mary Detrow Driggers and John Detrow; grandchildren, Tayler King Haas and husband Travis, Ryan King, and Nina Cradock; great grandchildren, River, Charlie, and Bo Haas.

There will be a celebration of Linda’s life at the Winding River POC, located at 1640 Goley Hewett Road, Bolivia, NC 28422 on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
