Marie Wickwire

Marie was born in Hamilton, New York on August 29, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Rosario “Zing” and Mary Lagreca Rausa. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rosario “Zip” Rausa Jr. and Tom Rausa.

She loved everyone and everything totally unconditionally. She spent her career as a Legal Secretary for a very large and prestigious law firm in Washington DC and prior to that with Frontier Airlines and The Colgate University sport department. She was also a successful director for Mary Kay for many years.

She loved crossword puzzles and never met one she couldn't master. She was a wonderful wife, Best Friend, mother and grandmother, even getting referred to at one at her sons wedding in the Connecticut wintertime after throwing several snowballs by her very young southern granddaughters as one Fancy Lady.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steve Wickwire; three children, Amy Workman of Graham, NC, Craig N. Wickwire of Millerton, NY and David M. Wickwire of Tucson, Arizona; a sister, Tina Rausa of Fredonia, NY; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
