My time with Meme was very special for me, and I hope for her as well. Having lost my grandparents and parents at a young age she became my Meme too. I remember her sharing her youth with me over photo albums. She beat me at scrabble. I loved her. I just want everyone to know, Meme was the most intelligent, forthright, caring and patient woman I have the pleasure to know. She always made me feel included and loved. I find myself picturing Meme and Lewis catching up in a place without pain or sadness. Goodbye Meme. See you soon.

To Bobby, Marsha, Sharon and your entire family. So saddened by the death of your Mom and my Aunt. Aunt Mildred was one of a kind. She had a memory like an elephant. Was unbelievable remembering dates of weddings, births, deaths. She was the historian in the family. She was upbeat every time I talked with her. She loved her family and there are a lot to love! She liked to remind me that she was there when I was born so she always remembered my birthday.
I will remember her for many things but one memory from childhood was her German Chocolate Cake. Although in recent years she claimed her Coconut Cake was even better!
Aunt Mildred will be missed. The last of the eight Shelton siblings.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Love you all.
Diane
