I met Myla in my Pharmacy Tech class. From the moment that I met her, I knew that Myla was "an old soul," which only added to her natural beauty and sweet disposition. I am 30 years older than Myla, but I was as comfortable talking with her as I was with someone of my own age. I told Myla several times that she was exceptional in her intelligence and goodness of spirit. I told her that she was going to do great things one day, and I believed that whole heartedly. Myla's loss is a tragedy for everyone who ever met her. It is also a great loss to the world. I wish blessings to Myla's spirit, and to her family. Myla was not like anyone else. She was genuinely unique and very special. I am so sorry for her loss. I did not know her for very long, but I will never forget her.

I had the pleasure of teaching Myla in high school. Such a sweet young lady. I always told her she needed to be on America's Next Top Model as she was such a fashionista. She was beautiful inside and out. She will be greatly missed and my heart aches for those of us who were fortunate to have known her. May God strengthen and comfort her loved ones.

I am so sorry for Myla’s family. Myla was one of my class mates in high school. We weren’t super close but I loved having class with her, such a positive young being and very fierce! She never forgot to have fun even in school. I’ll never forget the times we shared in class, and I regret not getting to know her more outside of school, so many people are devastated by her passing. I’m praying for the Payne family at the tragic loss of a beautiful human life. Myla will never be forgotten.
