OBITUARY

Patricia A Boraski

July 13, 1947November 20, 2021

Devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Patricia Anne Boraski, passed away suddenly on November 20, 2021 at her home in Supply, NC surrounded by her loving family at the age of 74. Patricia was also commonly known as “Dollbaby”, as well as Patty, Mom/Ma and G-ma until her parting. She met the love of her life when she was just fourteen years old while her family was living in New York. Patty and John met on a blind date at his mom’s Carvel ice cream stand and there is where a story of a sixty year love began. They became known as Dollbaby and Little John. Patricia completed her associate degree in finance at Sacred Heart University, Stamford Campus, in Connecticut. Patricia was the accounts payable and finance controller at The Perrier Group of America in Greenwich, Connecticut for nineteen years. During this time, she was also a loving wife and mother with whom she devoted her time selflessly, without missing a beat, with her children’s PTAs and sport affiliations. Her battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed her courage and tenacity in facing every day’s life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Patricia came out very much a brave hero and stayed strong and positive until the end. Patricia was a sweet and loving woman that put everyone’s needs and wants before her own. Anyone who had the joy of knowing her always said “she was a woman with the biggest heart they had ever known”, which stood true throughout her entire life. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey L. and Suzanne Evans; infant brother, Harvey L. Evans, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty five years, John W. Boraski of Supply, NC; son, Andrew J. Boraski (Michelle) of Bethel, CT; daughter, Susan Boraski (Dawn Badger) of Supply, NC; granddaughters, Hailey A. Boraski (Michael Meighan) of Ash, NC, Christina S. Boraski and Katherine Boraski both of Bethel, CT; grandson, John B. Boraski, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, of Great Lakes, IL; siblings, Stephen L. Evans (Ida) of Supply, NC and Linda S. Hewett (R.E.) of Shallotte, NC; her precious pet, Maggie May.

Mom, you are the most beautiful soul ever known. How sweet it is to be loved by you.

So many Beautiful and Cherished memories of my Aunt Pat. One of my favorite memories as a little girl growing up was Aunt Pat is coming to visit. As an adult having her to confide in, learning from and the growing knowledge. There are so many to speak of and lots of funny ones for sure. If only I could get one more long hug, a smile and a I Love you. I love to stare in her eyes and we just smile at each other. I will miss all the special times we shared when I lived with Aunt Pat and the family. Aunt Pat was very special not only to me but to my daughter Jasmine. Aunt Pat you will always be in my heart and a big part of everything I do. I will hold our talks close and I hope that I can make you proud. I LOVE YOU and you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. I want to also let my Uncle John know that I Thank him for the roll he played in my growing up. It means the world to me and I Love You. Susan and A.J. I Love You and I am here for you always.

I was just scrolling through obituaries & saw her picture I thought she looked so much like my cousin Linda Sue not realizing this was my family. After clicking on obituary & reading I find out it was my cousin Doll Baby. I hadn't seen her since I was a small child. I remember going to her house I think it was in Maryland one time when Daddy & my Uncle was working on dredge boat. Me, Mom my Aunt Janet & Tracey & James found her house in Maryland she welcome us in & was glad to see some of her family from so many miles from home. I was very young but old enough to remember the trip to Maryland & going to her home. She was so pretty & still was after all these years still beautiful as ever. She lived so far away so never got to spend anytime with my cousin other than the trip to Maryland. As you can see why her name was Doll Baby because she was always pretty as a Doll Baby. Linda Sue keeping you & all the family in my thoughts & prayers. I Love y'all. I know the Evans Family is having a big Celebration in Heaven. "Rest In Peace Doll Baby" Love you Cuz 💕

Pat was my next door neighbor for more than thirty years. She was always ready to help when needed. When my house was broken into she waited for me to come home so she could prepare me for what I was about to find. Even when her health declined she remained cheerful and positive. My thoughts go to John, Susan, AJ and the rest of the family.

One of the funniest memories of my sister and me. We were chasing each other around the car and I decided to go around the other way and get her that way. Well we did and I hit her right in the mouth with my head and I broke her tooth out and I got my head popped open and the blood poured of course.I caught the whipping for it. Because she had a bad heart and I shouldn't have been playing with her that way. And then she was the youngest patient to have open heart surgery done in NC Duke Hospital in Duke Hospital in Durham NC. My husband to be sat with me all day and night until we found out that she was going to be okay.. The next day I went with my Aunt's to see her.Time we got there ,mom told us to go to the blood bank and give blood for Pat.. And to ask everyone we saw to please give blood for her.We asked everyone we saw to give blood for her at the blood bank. Most the people we saw were Marines, they said they would.. Everywhere we stopped on the elevator said blood bank this way. The nurses said to go that way.But every floor we stopped at said blood bank this way. I've never been up and down on an elevator so many times
We got so tickled they said they hear us before we got to the floor we were getting too. Of course I got in trouble for that and I was still the youngest one of the bunch.. I don't think that was my fault either. She had a sister my name is Linda Sue Evans Hewett and a brother Steve Evans and we loved her dearly. ( R.I.P. Nunny ). Momma told me that I called her that name because my momma called my daddy Honey and I couldn't say it so I called her Nunny.I miss you so much and I love you. Her name was Doll baby also.
