Pauline’s greatest legacy is her family to whom she instilled the importance of faith in God and devotion to Mary, the joy of family as the greatest of all gifts, and the honor of continuing cultural and family traditions.
Pauline was the child of Antony and Stephania Sumski and was married for 64 years to her loving husband, Karl, who predeceased her. She leaves behind her children, Karl J Kreder Jr MD (Gay), Valerie Young (Bob, predeceased), Jeanne Yannuzzi (Tom), Thomas Kreder (Ceil), Karen Kreder, Suzanne Redzinski (predeceased), and Matthew Kreder. She was Babci to Amanda (Joel), Michael (Becca), Katie (Tom), Lauren (Kyle), Carissa (Jess), KJ (Yang Fan) Candice (Rich), Jaime (Lou), Heather (Felix), Jessica (Dee), Nicky, Thomas and Matthew; and Great-Babci to Harper, Kai, Karl, Bennett, Davis, Corbin, Reese, Grant, Cole, Lorenzo, Lucian, Harlan, Nora, Silas, Laila, Brooke, Elena, Tatiana, Felix, Alexis, and Dominic.
Pauline was kind, smart, had a wonderful sense of humor (and a great laugh). She lit up the room with her warmth and conversed with others in a genuinely caring manner. She showed great fashion sense and was never caught without her jewelry. Her passions included experimenting with food and sharing her delicious cooking, enjoying canasta and other activities with friends, and traveling with her family. She loved croissants in Paris, Advent concerts in Vienna, Colorado mountains, pasta and pizza in Rome, Hawaiian beaches, gelato and the Grand Canal in Venice, a fresh Guinness in Dublin, bagpipes at a Maine birthday celebration, and Poland’s Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine. She held pierogi-making cooking sessions with her adult grandchildren, shared her favorite recipes, and created family traditions that will endure for years to come.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.
Private family services will be held.
