

Ms. Leonard was born in Richmond County, North Carolina on November 28, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Claude C. Yarborough and Ruby Liles Yarborough. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Fredrich Stutzenberger and Luther Leonard a sister, Carolyn Seals, two son in-laws, William Camp and Dean Leblanc. She owned and operated Granny's Attic, a clothing store for children in Wilmington. She was a member of Sunset Park Baptist Church of Wilmington. Peggy loved to visit the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. She loved to play bingo and attend family gatherings.
She is survived by seven children, Teresa Pigott and husband David of Supply, Peggy Sue Camp of Leland, Fredrich Stutzenberger and wife Donna of Wilmington, Donna Stutzenberger of Holden Beach, Tabitha Curie of Wilmington, Christy Archer and husband Steve of Jessup, Georgia and Nolan Leonard of Leland; a special granddaughter and caregiver, Kourtney Castillo and husband Joel of Smithfield; a sister, Jean Floyd of Leland; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Monday October 27, 2025 at one o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 603 Ocean Highway East, Bolivia.
