Rudy was born in St. Louis, MO to Rudolph and Delores Seger. He is survived by his life partner and former wife, Barbara Seger; sisters, Delores Fitzgerald and Mary Ruzicka; brothers, Robert, James, and Ray (Ann) Seger; and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis in 1960 and soon joined the Army. He was in the 82nd Airborne Division in Fayetteville, NC. After enlistment, he was a member of the Army National Guard 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He was proud of his service to his country and worked for veterans’ causes and was a member of the local VFW/American Legion. He worked for Eastern Airlines in Charlotte and Atlanta until 1991 and then was a facilities coordinator for the Georgia Building Authority.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at a later date.
