Sidney A. Dawson, age 67 of Leland, passed away March 26, 2020 at Lower Cape Fear Life Center. He enjoyed singing, dancing and having fun with family and friends. Due to his outgoing and loving personality, Sidney never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Earl and Edith Estelle Dawson; son, Darren Caison.
Sidney leaves behind his children, David Caison of Winnabow, Melissa Sanduskey of Burgaw, and Darnell Dawson of Lyman; brother, Charles (Pat) Dawson of Leland, NC; sisters, Jean (Tony) Watson of Alvin, TX, Barbara Neal of Leland, NC, Marie (Randy) Ashwood of Atlanta, GA, Charlene Iovannisci of Wilmington, NC and Renaye (Matthew) Pait of Bladenboro, NC; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Due to the current health concerns in our community, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Life Center - Hospice, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
