I have been wrestling with the thought of telling you goodbye. I finally realized that I dont have to. We have two beautiful girls and a grand daughter and as long as they are here, you are with me as well. I promise you that I will take care of our girls. You worried about them above all else. Your love will always be constant in them and your legacy will live on. You are responsible for my greatest joys here on earth and I will carry that forever. I will see you again one day but untill then, I will do my best to honor your memory. I will never forget your laugh. Rest well my dear friend.

Those we love remain with us, For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade, Because a loved one is gone... Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory, They'll live on in the heart...

Thirty plus years of friendship holds many great memories... Steve would take me for rides on the sand dunes at Ocean Isle, back when Ocean Isle had sand dunes, and laugh when I was scared. The joyous phone calls on the birth of Meagan and Madison. A simple request to feed Hunter & Emma, because he won't be home as planned. His mischievous laugh at past events. Steve will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
