I met Steve shortly after he moved into his home in Varnum Town. We lived close to each other and quickly became good friends. The highlite of our day was sitting on his porch talking about our youth, high school and college, and sharing good (if not always clean) jokes. He and I had a lot of laughs. I remember when he got his cats - he was like a little boy with a great new toy. Steve had a hugh heart and generous disposition. I had gone to his home to show him our new puppy - Lucy. when his garage door was open and he did not answer his door, I got a sinking feeling. It was later that evening that I found him. I still go by his house expecting to see him on his porch.
Steve you are certainly missed. I know that God has found you a place in his heavenly kingdom. Rest in peace brother.
