

Sylvia Jeanette Larson was born in Wilmington, NC on March 29, 1947 to James Larson and Allene Faircloth Larson.
Sylvia Larson graduated from New Hanover High School in 1965 and attended Cape Fear Community College later in life, where she made the Dean’s List and was a straight “A” student.
In October of 1965, Sylvia married Larry Wayne Holleman.
Sylvia was a hard worker and very devoted employee. She had exceptional work ethics and was a smiling face everyday to her community and coworkers. Right out of high school she worked for Corbett Packaging for a couple of years and then went on to work with JW Murchison Company for 20 years. After the company downsized, Sylvia went to work at Parks and Rec Department for Town of Wrightsville Beach. Sylvia worked her way up to Town Clerk and worked for the Town for 32 years. Sylvia was awarded “Clerk of the Year” at the Clerks Conference and was dedicated a Live Oak tree that is planted at the park with a plaque. Sylvia retired at the age of 75.
Sylvia’s pride and joy was her family. She never missed a volleyball game, softball game, baseball game and bowling game. She loved keeping score at all events and was their biggest cheerleader.
Sylvia was an avid sports enthusiast herself. She played basketball in high school, moved on to softball as a young adult and kept on playing volleyball for many years. She was a great player.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her mother Allene Faircloth Todd, loving step-father Clifford Todd. Sister Diane Smith, husband Rev. Randall Smith, Sister Sandra Faircloth, Brother Larry Larson, and Brother Patrick Larson. Oh, what a family reunion that must have been.
Sylvia is survived by her best friend and daughter Wendy Holleman Adams, Son-n-law Sheldon K Adams Sr., Her grandson Stephen W Frink, wife Ariel Frink, two Great grand-daughter’s, Elena and Macie Frink, Her grandson Sheldon K Adams Jr., Her grandson Bradley T Adams and Jamison Barker, Sister-n-law Kay Larson, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sylvia is in the care of White Funeral and Cremation Services in Bolivia, NC.
There will be a small intimate celebration of life with her family and friends.
