When Tommy wasn’t creating the outstanding mosaic glass art that became his second career, he enjoyed sitting on the front porch, smoking his cigar in the company of his beloved wife, Sally and Mauser Boy. He liked to cook and was an avid golfer.
He became fascinated with World War II planes and artillery while his father, Tom Edge, an Air Force veteran, was stationed in Hawaii.
Tommy is survived by his wife Sally, his parents, Thomas B. Edge, Jr. and Mabel Shager Edge, his sister, Debi Hammonds of Wilmington and a very large family in Union Dale, PA. He was especially close to his wife’s family, Nancy and Grant Mays, Richard and Brenda Williams of Wilmington and Hugh Williams and Steven Cole of Leuven, Belgium.
A celebration of Tommy’s life is planned for April 13, 2019.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that monetary donations be made in his name to Adopt an Angel, POB 15095, Wilmington, NC 28408 or www.adoptanangel.net.
