from Lebanon in pursuit of the American Dream. He spent his childhood playing stickball in the
streets and making friends, many of whom would become lifelong pals. After a short stint in the
Army where he would serve in the Vietnam War, he wound up living in Northern Virginia where
he would carry on his reputation of being the life of the party and meet the love of his life,
Dianne.
Wade enjoyed helping bring up Dianne’s daughter Tina and they were thrilled to add
their children Katie and Wade Jr. to complete their family. He lived for hosting cookouts,
coaching sports, and helping out with scouting events. Traveling to spend time with extended
family and reconnect with old buddies brought him so much joy.
After his beloved wife Dianne passed, he retired after nearly 40 years of service to the
Federal Government as a data processor and procurement advisor and was introduced to a
new hobby, Shag Dancing. This, along with his love for the beach and disdain for shoveling
snow, led him to migrate south to North Carolina. Here he made even more friends and word of
his dancing skills soon spread to all of North Myrtle Beach (especially the ladies).
Unfortunately he contracted Covid-19 and spent the last weeks of his life in the hospital
fighting until the bitter end. Wade is survived by his children Tina, Katie and Wade Jr, his
grandchildren Zach, Addison, and Audrey, his brother Samuel, sister Diana Marie and many
beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his adoring wife Dianne.
There will be no public service at this time but the family looks forward to holding a
celebration of life when it is safe. While not necessary, consider donating to a charity that was
dear to his heart, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
