Wendy Wong Moore, 56, of Supply, North Carolina, passed away on August 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Wendy was born on April 18, 1970, to Gloria Jones and the late Edward Wong. She was also lovingly raised by her stepfather, the late Robert Jones. Wendy shared a special lifelong bond with her twin sister, Cindy Thomas.
On May 14, 1991, Wendy married James Moore, and together they built a life and family over 35 years of marriage. Wendy was the proud mother of three daughters, Kori Moore, Jaymi Moore, and Lindsey Moore, and the loving grandmother of Logan Moore and Lucas Hodges.
Of all the roles Wendy held throughout her life, being a mother and grandmother were among the ones she treasured most. Her family was at the center of her world, and being a grandmother brought her tremendous joy. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, whether they were curled up beside her, wrapped in one of her hugs, or simply spending time together. Those ordinary moments became some of the most meaningful ones.
Wendy was also a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse. Caring for others was more than a profession for her; it was part of who she was. She spent many years working at Hinesville Family Practice, where she devoted herself to helping and caring for others.
Outside of work, Wendy knew how to enjoy the simple things in life. She loved the beach and searching for seashells, playing bingo, enjoying a good plate of crab legs, and spending time with the people she loved. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she loved her animals, including her beloved dog, Luna.
Anyone who knew Wendy also knew about her love of horror movies. She enjoyed everything spooky and scary and wasn’t easily frightened. She had a playful sense of humor, loved sharing memories and old photographs, and found joy in the little things that made life memorable.
Her faith was also a source of comfort and strength. Through difficult and uncertain moments, Wendy turned to God and prayer, carrying a faith that helped sustain her throughout her life.
Wendy is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Moore; her daughters, Kori Moore, Jaymi Moore, and Lindsey Moore; her grandchildren, Logan Moore and Lucas Hodges; her mother, Gloria Jones; her twin sister, Cindy Thomas; her beloved dog, Luna; and many other relatives and friends who loved her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wong, and her stepfather, Robert Jones.
Wendy leaves behind more than photographs and memories. She leaves pieces of herself in the people she loved—in her daughters, her grandchildren, the patients she cared for, and in a family that will continue telling her stories, remembering the things she loved, and carrying her love with them.
She was a wife, a daughter, a twin sister, a nurse, a mother, and a grandmother.
She was Wendy.
And she will be loved and missed beyond words.
