William ( “Bill”) Douglas Potter, 83, of Winnabow, NC, passed peacefully Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home. Mr. Potter was the son of the late Jackson and Fannie Potter. He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Betty Bradshaw Potter, his three daughters; Jeanene Potter Barnett (husband Hank), Terri Louise Hinnant, Wendy Potter Theroux, (husband Glenn), grandchildren; Candi Michelle West, (husband Isreal), Joshua and Taylor Theroux, great granddaughter; Isabella West, special nephew; Travis Potter, and his special dog; Lilly.
“Bill” was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a true outdoorsman, and love to hunt fish and garden, but his fondest times were spend with the family he loved so dearly. Wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Bill will be greatly missed, and always lovingly remembered.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, (10:00AM). Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bolivia, NC.
