Ali was a great kid, and his time was taken short because he had already learned and accomplished what it takes some people 80 years to understand.  Ali taught us how to care deeply, and love fully.  Please let's all look at the 17 years of scouting that enriched his life, putting Ali in scouting is a accomplishment for the family. Laura and her husband allowed their son to become friends with other young men, and impact the other scouts in ways that can never be said in words.

I am deeply pained that Ali's life was cut so short. 
Rest in peace, dear cousin.

I will always remember of Ali as a fun, kind, smart person. I  enjoyed playing soccer and playing  some of our favorite video games together.  He always had something interesting to share and could find fun any situation. I feel very grateful to have had him in my life and shared so many memories with him and will deeply miss him.

Ali and I spent a lot of time together when we were little because he and I, Sarah and Roxana were the baby cousins of the family. Our moms took us all everywhere together. I didn’t really understand him when we were little but the past few years we got along better. He was the smartest kid I knew, and he was always excited to share something new. Last year one of our aunts got married in Rosarito, and everyone stayed at the Hotel Rosarito that weekend. Ali and his parents had a room at or near the top, with a beautiful view of the beach. I don’t remember why some of us younger cousins stopped by their room, but Ali immediately led us out to the balcony so we could see the ocean. He was fun, funny, and full of enthusiasm. He had a lot of potential, and we are all proud of everything he accomplished. We’ll miss his big smiles, love of knowledge, and excitement for beautiful views of the ocean. 

I remember Ali receiving the Rising Star Award after his rendition of Star Wars on the Roland organ. My mom was his teacher--Miss Cindy. May you find comfort in cherished memories.

One of the greatest friends I ever could have asked for. Ali was always there for me and he will always be a part of me.

I find comfort knowing that he was so loved and that so many people send him blessings. I rest assured knowing that he’s resting in heaven and that probably it was his time.  He was happy, at his best.  And that’s another blessing, between countless.

Ali has been one of my very closest friends since we met in seventh grade. He was always there for me and always knew what to say to put a smile on people's faces. He even taught me how to do things like how to snap my fingers and how to play pool. I'm going to miss all of the times he made me go to restaurants with him, staying up all night with him, taking the bus everywhere with him, and every other memory weve made in the five years I've known him. If there was any one word to describe him, the one that comes to mind for me is simply "Ali" given how unique and one of a kind he was. Every time I took my car or the bus to his house, I was always so excited to spend time and make more memories with him. I'm gonna miss you, Ali.

Colin and Ali first met in kindergarten. They instantly took to each other and quickly became good friends. They were fortunate to be classmates through the majority of their school years.  They often enjoyed laughing together and just being good buddies.  They played the trumpet in jazz, concert, and marching bands.   Among the many memories that we cherish, it’s Ali’s sweet smile and cheerful brown eyes that fills our hearts.  Our love,  thoughts, and prayers go out to the family and his many friends.   With love. 

Laura and family, we are so sad to hear about Ali. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and that you are special to us. Ali was, and is, a lovely young man and he will be missed so dearly by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.  

Please take comfort knowing that Ali's very last breath in this life was his very first breath in heavenly eternity.
