Alicia was born December 4, 1986 on the beautiful city of Seoul, South Korea. She was the oldest daughter of David A. Respicio and Sun Ye Respicio and oldest sister of Annie Lynn Respicio. From a very young age, Alicia loved to perform and dance, which was very evident throughout her life.
After Alicia graduated from Valley View High School, she pursued Radiologist Technician at Loma Linda University.
Upon graduation, she began working at Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center for 3 years and later moved to San Diego, California to work for both Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and Sharp Grossmont Hospital for 2 years. Thereafter, she started working at UCSD La Jolla Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center for 3 years. Alicia was extremely passionate about working in the Cath Lab and loved what she did for a living.
Family Over Everything was Alicia's motto to the core. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 5 years of marriage. In the year 2016, she met Adriell Gonzales at Heali'i Polynesian Revue Halau in San Diego, California. Alicia & Adriell went to have 2 children Mateo Koa (3) and Mason Keali'i (2), also gained amazing step children Isabella (10) and Gabriel (15).
Alicia was smart, hard-working, honest, kind, extremely funny, resolute determination, accommodating, and most importantly loving people that she truly cared about. She was extremely proud of her heritage being half Korean and half Chamorro. She also embraced the Polynesian culture especially the Hawaiian and Tahitian culture. She danced for Heali’i’ Polynesian Revue and Te Rahiti Nue for a short time and she enjoyed every minute of it. Alicia was a Legend in many ways. On top of that, she was a proud American Patriot, who loved her country.
Our family would like to thank every single one that showed their continuous love, support, and prayers. We are greatly saddened to lose our beautiful lighthouse who shines so bright, but ultimately we know she's with our Lord Jesus Christ smiling down on us for all eternity.
A visitation for Alicia will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, California 91902.
