Alicia Lopez Quintero, of San Diego, passed away on June 20, 2019. She was born at home in Culiacan, Sinaloa Mexico on August 31, 1927. She was a resident of San Diego for nearly 70 years.
Alicia was married for 37 years to the love of her life, William Quintero. They were blessed with three children, Bill, Cynthia and Mark. She was a homemaker for much of her life. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook, always preparing delicious Mexican dishes for family and friends. She enjoyed watching movies and going to theatre plays as well as playing bingo and trying her luck at the slots. She also loved music and traditional Latin melodies were among her favorites.
Alicia was a Sharp Grossmont Hospital volunteer for 15 years, working at the Thrift Korral, a resale boutique donating back to the hospital and hospice residences in San Diego County.
Alicia was predeceased by William in 1989 and Cynthia shortly after birth. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Sandi), Mark (Lisa) and niece, Helen Reddy (Mike). Her legacy continues on through her grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Anthony.
