2024. Allen was born in Arcadia, LA to Zolly Pierce and Pearl Turner on July 6, 1935.
Allen joined the Navy in 1952 and retired in San Diego on August 1972, He also retired from a
Civil Service job in 2001making airplane upholstery for the Navy. Allen loved his family and always made sure that they had everything that they needed. He was very good with his hands (carpentry), making bookcases, storage units, tables etc. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sumie, and his 3 sisters, Elizabeth, Ruth, Louise and his 3 brothers, Benny, Isiah and Andrew (step-brother)
Allen is survived by his children, Joann, Naomi and Allen Jr. (Sandy). 7 Grandchildren and 6
Great-Grandchildren
