Almedo Bacani Pamintuan, 90, passed away on September 9, 2026. Born on December 17, 1935, he grew up in Pampanga, Philippines, the eldest of seven siblings, and carried forward a steady sense of responsibility that shaped the life he built and the family he cherished. He resided in Spring Valley, California.

Almedo was a devoted father of three children, and his legacy continues through 11 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchild, and one great-great-granddaughter. Those who knew him will remember a man whose love was shown not in grand display, but in steadfast presence—selfless in the ways that matter most, faithful in his commitments, and honest in word and deed.

A hard-working provider throughout his life, Almedo served for 17 years in the Navy as a cook, bringing care and discipline to work that nourished others day after day. He later worked as a cook at Hotel Del Coronado, and went on to retire from both General Dynamics and Cubic Inc., marking a lifetime defined by diligence, reliability, and quiet pride in a job done well.

Beyond work and duty, Almedo found simple, enduring joys. He enjoyed gardening, tending patiently to what he planted, and he followed his teams with loyal enthusiasm as a fan of the San Diego Padres and the San Diego Chargers.

Almedo’s faith remained a guiding strength. He was active at Santa Sophia Catholic Church in the FIL-AM community, where his steady devotion and willingness to serve reflected the values he lived each day.

He will be deeply missed and respectfully remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
