

Born on September 27, 1962, in Modesto, California, Andrés made his home in Spring Valley, California, beginning in 1969. He was a man who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and treasured the time he spent with family and friends.
Andrés loved being active and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed taking walks at least twice a day, lifting weights, going to the gym, and riding his bicycle through the neighborhood.
Andrés loved food, family gatherings, and celebrations of all kinds. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, or special occasion, he cherished his time spent with those he loved.
In his leisure time, Andrés enjoyed watching both classic and contemporary movies. He was especially fond of television favorites such as Leave It to Beaver and Sanford and Son, 2 of the best.
Andrés graduated from Grossmont High School in La Mesa, California, in 1982. Throughout his working years, he was employed as a welder at Campbell Shipyard in San Diego during the mid-1980s and later worked at Denny’s Restaurant in La Mesa as a dishwasher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mateo Luna and Estella Luna, and by his beloved niece, Leticia Vasquez.
Andrés is survived by his brothers, David Luna, Arturo Luna, and Richard Luna; his sister, Yolanda Vasquez ; and his sister-in-law, Nadine Luna, of 50 years . He also leaves behind his nieces, Estella Vasquez and Marta Luna; his nephews, Rolando Vazquez Jr., Matthew Luna, and Luca Luna; and his great-nephews, Oscar Elijah Cordero, Rushel and Louie Henry-Vasquez, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Andrés will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of family, his appreciation for life’s simple joys, and the happiness he brought to those around him.
His legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts. ❤️
