A devoted wife and mother, Angelina “Angie” Perillo Young passed away on June 29, 2021, at the age of 67, following a courageous year-long battle with lung cancer. She died in the company of her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy.
Angie was born on April 03, 1954 to the late Basilio and Bibiana Perillo of Oas, Albay, Philippines and was the eldest of two children. She was a diligent student and finished her studies in Electronics and Communications Engineering at the FEATI University, Manila, Philippines in 1978. Right after college, being a loving daughter, she helped her mother manage the boarding house their family owns. She was truly a hard worker, because aside from helping in the family business, she got herself a full-time job.
In 1981, Angie met the late Antonio “Tony” Young while he was on his vacation in Manila, Philippines. It was love at first sight. When Tony returned to the United States, he cannot forget her and sought her out through writing sweet love letters. His perseverance in courtship won her heart and the two became sweethearts thereafter.
In 1984, Tony and Angie decided to commit themselves to one another and lived as husband and wife. Their union was blessed with four beautiful children, namely: Ronald Allan, Edward, Mercy Ann Bing and Lindy Lou. The couple then finally decided to get married on October 25, 1990.
Angie was a God-fearing woman. She liked to pray, praying for her family and for others who needed it. She had a kind and generous spirit, helping people in need and never holding grudges with anyone. She was fond of reading good books, listening to wonderful melodies and taking pictures to capture wonderful memories. She always wore a smile on her face and particularly loved to laugh and spent quality time with her family.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring woman. She deeply loved her family, including her extended families and friends. She dedicated all her life raising children to be good, and to be a woman for others. A truly kind soul.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.
