Obituary
Tony (dad/grandpa) was born September 1, 1918 in Messina, Italy to Mary and Rosario Corio. He was the third of five children.
In 1943 he met and married his loving wife Josephine Montana. Together they had three daughters, Mary Jane, Judith and Linda..
The family moved to San Diego from New York, where he worked and retired from North Island as an aircraft engineer.
Tony was a wonderful father and grandfather to his three daughters and his grandchildren. He was also a great uncle to his many nieces and nephews as well as a great friend to his neighbors and friends.
He loved gardening, cooking and baking and his green thumb was a source of great pride.
In his later years he loved going out to a weekly lunch with family members including Jane and Tony. After lunch they would go shopping which he loved almost as much as Jane did.
He also loved watching Padres games as well as Chargers games. He was proud to wear his Chargers hat to WW2 Memorial in Washington, DC which he visited with other WW2 veterans and his daughter Jane.
Needless to say, he was a wonderful sweet soul and touched many lives during his extraordinary lifetime. It is safe to say that he will be missed by his family, his friends and his community.
Those left to cherish his memory;
Daughters: Mary Jane, Judith and Linda
Son in Laws: Art Leider and Coleman Meshack
Grand Children: Darrin Leider, Eddie Jenkins, Sheree Aldridge, and Shenell Young,
Great grand children and a host of nieces ,nephews, relatives and friends.
Acknowledgements:
Perhaps you sent a card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a funeral arrangement. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words that any friend would say.
Perhaps you were not there but just thought of us . Whatever you did to console our hearts. We thank you so very much and greatly appreciate your condolences and your love.
