Anthony R. Leatherman Family
Anthony (Tony) R. Leatherman was born to the late Virgil Leon Leatherman and Florence Marie Leatherman in DeRidder, LA. Anthony was born 18 June, 1948, and departed his life, 12 July 2025.
He was a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. He became an educator for a few months :) that was "NOT" for him! He moved on to California, where he became a loan officer for Henry Jackson Realtor for many years. Then he worked for Mission Bay Mortgage company. Later he decided to go work for the San Diego County Sheriff Department, where he finally decided to retire after 30 years of service!!
He leaves to mourn, his devoted wife, Neysa Ashworth Leatherman, one very devoted son, Anthony (Tony) R. Leatherman Jr. one goddaughter, April Dubra, one brother, Erwin (Pro) Leatherman (Barbara Hayes) of Savannah, GA, sister, Gwendolyn (Zyonnie) Husband of Covington, GA, and brother in law Emerson Ashworth Jr. Sandra dearly loved her uncle Tony. He will be sorely missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at: Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
