

Arnie K. Fieser was born March 14,1933 in Peru, Illinois and peacefully passed away on March 26, 2024 with his son, Burt, by his side. Arnie married his high school sweetheart, Darlene Kossow in 1953 and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1954. Together Darlene and Arnie had 3 children, Burt, Diane, and Valerie. Arnie entered the Navy in 1955 and was a retired Navy Commander and Helicopter Pilot serving the Navy for 23 years. He was the Command Pilot that picked up the astronauts in Apollo 16 and Skylab I. After Darlene’s passing, Arnie married his second sweetheart, Suzanne Maxwell and they enjoyed 44 years of together.
After his military retirement, Arnie also served the San Diego community for over 45 years with impeccable locksmith services as owner of Lynn’s Locksmith Service. He was instrumental in starting the California Locksmith Association (CLA) and Locksmith Apprenticeship Program. Arnie loved spending time with family and friends, hosting parties, socializing, and he was involved in numerous organizations.
Arnie is survived by his son, Burt, and wife, Lynn, and family; Son-in-law John Guenther and family, Sister-in-law, Marilyn Leach and husband, John; Grandchildren Joshua, Devyn, Jason, Russell, Megan and Eric as well as great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Arnie is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rose Fieser, wife Darlene Fieser, wife Suzanne Fieser, and daughters Diane and Valerie.
A visitation for Arnold will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the The Orchid Pavilion located at the WEST ENTRANCE of Glen Abbey Memorial Park off of Glen Rosevale Dr, Bonita, CA 91902.
A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bonita Presbyterian Church, 5111 Central Ave, Bonita, CA 91902.
A committal service will occur Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, at Glen Abbey Memorial Park 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
