Our Beloved Arturo Fernandez Del Carmen was born in the Philippines on August 26, 1923. His parents were Jose Del Carmen and Catalina Fernandez. He attended St. Columban College in the Philippines and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce.
In 1943 he fought as a Guerrilla in the Philippines. And 1945 he joined the U.S. Naval Forces. He was a Veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was given Honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy for 22 years service starting in 1945 and ending in 1966.
Arturo departed on July 1, 2011, leaving behind his wife Milagros Del Carmen of 53 years. He has three children Josephine Medley, Arturo M. Del Carmen, Jr., and Antoinette Yap. He has six Grandchildren and one Great Grand Daughter.
He was a loving husband and a good father to his family. He was a loving and charming person with a good sense of humor. We will miss him terribly and we’ll remember him for the rest of our lives.
