Barbara Armendariz Hawkins ''Yita'', 82, passed away on September 30th 2018 in Chula Vista at 11:43pm. Born on December 11th, 1935 to Cipriano Armendariz and Maria J. Figueroa. She was a very beautiful Young Woman who won in a Beauty Pageant. She then Married her Husband Thomas O. Hawkins on July 26th, 1971 who then both had a son together Thomas E. Hawkins in 1973. Although they only had one child together many people considered Yita a mother to them who she raised. Later she was then blessed with 3 granddaughters from her son and daughter in law Valerie Hawkins who are named Anna 19, Michelle 15, & Valerie 11. And was very loved by her granddaughters and every one surrounding her.
A time of gathering will take place at Glen Abbey on October 22nd, 2018 from 11:30am-2pm. Then placed to rest at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on October 23rd, 2018 at 10:30 am.
