Barbara was born on January 3, 1949, one of four daughters born to the late Joseph and Mary Rizzo. She graduated from Crawford High School in 1967 and worked for Union Bank for 32 years, ending her career as a SVP/Manager for Commercial Cash Services. In November 1977, she married Tye Moody and together they enjoyed boating at Lake Havasu, entertaining friends, and being surrounded by family. Barbara was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She was a devoted Christian, fierce protector of her family, sincere animal lover, avid reader, champion of the gym, tenacious prankster, advice giver, and gracious friend to many.
Throughout her battle with cancer Barbara’s faith never faltered. She embodied the concept of “childlike faith”, finding solitude in knowing her circumstances were all part of God’s plan. Barbara would often challenge her family, asking “where’s your faith” when we questioned God’s plan. She never asked, “why me”, instead she firmly stated, “why not me.” Barbara was a beacon of hope to those who battled cancer alongside her, often sharing her faith with those who desperately needed comfort and reassurance in their time of trouble.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Tye Moody; daughter, Laura Farmer and her husband Daniel Farmer; step-sons, Nick Moody; Tim Moody and his wife Sue Moody; Trey Moody and his wife Erin Moody; three sisters, Ida Reaves; Joyce Snell; and Gerrie Rizzo; eight grandchildren, Joseph Walsh; Gianni Walsh; Cristiano Walsh; Tierra Moody; Ashley Moody; Alicia Moody; Kellen Moody; and Travis Moody.

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not meant to be. So He put His arms around you, and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away. Although we love you deeply, we could not make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us…He only takes the best.
