

Benita (Bening) Dalusong King was born January 12, 1939 and died January 10, 2015. A resident of Chula Vista, California living with her youngest son as well as a resident of National City, California living independently in the final days of her life. After a courageous battle with cancer, Bening passed away peacefully in her sleep at a Hospice home care in La Mesa, California. Benita was born and raised in the Philippines and came to call San Diego her home after getting married and moving here in 1975. She held multiple jobs throughout her lifetime, typically having two jobs simultaneously.
Bening was one of ten children born to the late Pedro and Guillerma Dalusong and was once married to Agapito Waje, widowed; then to William C. King, Sr., divorced. Bening will forever be remembered by her devoted brothers Ephren and Theodore; loving sisters Adelaida, Elisa, Zenaida, and Letecia; her beloved sons Robert, William and Anthony, her treasured grandchildren Ashley and Joshua; Zoe, Mikada and Xander; Steven and Christopher; her caring in-laws Lany, Arlene, and Liz; her very close and best friend Catalina Bushore; and along with countless other family and friends whom were blessed to know her.
Bening loved to keep busy by working, long distant traveling either by car or plane, laughing, having fun with friends, and eating out at restaurants with the entire family, She frequently visited back home for vacation in the Philippines and helped house her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
Bening touched the lives of many people with her sense of humor, her smile that always lit up the room, her compassion to help others, all while maintaining her trademark generosity to family and friends all the way to the end.
The family requests all donations be sent to Anthony King whom Bening spent the final days of her life living with and gave such wonderful care for her in her time of need.
