Billie was born, Billie Francis Young, on May 15, 1930, in Texas, and was the first born to George and Vera Young. Billie had four younger siblings, Gerald, Lois, Joyce, and Shelby Young.
After leaving Texas, Billie moved to Yuma, Arizona, where she attended bible college and work as a switchboard operator for the military. Billie then rejoined her father and mother in San Diego, California, where she met and married Malcom "Russ" Calvert. Billie welcomed and loved Russ' five children Lisa, Gary, Roger, Tina, and Tammy Calvert. On June 26, 1975, Billie gave birth to her son, Shane Calvert.
Billie was preceded by her husband Russ Calvert, and children Lisa and Tina Calvert. Billie is survived by children Shane, Gary, Roger, and Tammy Calvert, and daughter-in-law's, Nici Calvert, Teri, Linda, Claudia, and Julie. Billie is also survived by eight grandchildren, Seth, Russell, Jason, Paul, Sarah, Claudette, Keyaira, Leilani, and seven great grandchildren, Raven, Pelaiah, Fabian, Elisa, Isaac, Julian, and Aiden Russell.
While in San Diego, Billie worked at various health care facilities as an admissions clerk. When Billie was not working, you could find her at church. Billie was a long time member of the Bonita Valley Community Church, even before the church had moved to the Bonita location. Billie participated in numerous church functions and was a dedicated member of the church choir. Billie gained great joy from her family and everyone she met.
Billie loved to share the memories of her childhood in Texas and the Lord's word. Billie would always include words and memories of her faith and God's love, which she incorporated into her daily walk of life. There was no kinder and loving woman then Billie, and she displayed her loving demeanor in every way. Mom will be greatly missed.
