Born and raised in San Diego, Brigitte graduated from high school in 2021 and had just begun her freshman year of college. She dreamed of becoming a licensed cosmetologist, a career as vibrant and creative as the life she was building.
A child of nature, Brigitte cultivated her own garden and found joy in every living thing. Animals were drawn to her gentle heart; as a teenager she tenderly nursed a wounded housefinch back to health. She had a quick wit and a sparkling sense of humor, a kindness that reached everyone she met, and a beauty (inside and out) that reflected the love she carried, An artist at heart Brigitte delighted in creating art of every kind, from colors of her garden to sketches that captured the world as she saw it.
Brigitte’s love continues in those she cherished: her devoted mother Janine, beloved siblings Stephen and Sara, her adoring grandmother Pat, her wonderful fiancé Carter, and her faithful feline companion Persephone. She now dances among the stars with her grandfather Howard, great-grandmother Mignonette, great-uncle Don, her childhood dog Angel, and the many small creatures she cared for along the way.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held to honor Brigitte’s luminous soul. Details will be shared with family and friends who wish to gather, remember, and rejoice in the light she brought to this world.
“Brigitte had a gift for giving. She always seemed to know exactly what would bring a smile to the people she loved. It wasn’t just the presents themselves, it was the way she listened, how she paid attention to the little details, and how she could sense what mattered the most to each of us. Every gift she chose carried her love and thoughtfulness, a reflection of how deeply she understood and cherished her family.” – Grandmother Pat
“Brigitte was the brightest light in my world. She made every ordinary moment extraordinary with her laughter, her gentleness, and the way she loved without limits. I will carry her spirit with me in everything I do, and our precious time together will forever be my special memory.” – Mom Janine
“Brigitte was truly doing her best to live life and be the greatest she could be.” – Brother Stephen
“Brigitte was such a thoughtful sister. She really cared about everyone.” – Sister Sara
“Brigitte, you changed my life for the better and forever. You truly made me feel alive. In the three years I got to know you and love you, I can say for certain that those years were the happiest and best of my life. I won’t ever forget you or our time together. I can only hope that if there is a next life, we will spend it together.” – Fiancé Carter
Brigitte’s story is one of boundless love and unfinished dreams. She was planning a wedding, pursuing her career, and weaving her future with those she adored. Though her time here was brief, she filled every moment with grace, laughter, and a fierce devotion to family, friends, and the natural world.
May we honor her by living with the same generosity, humor, and quiet strength that defined her. Her garden continues to bloom, her art lives in our hearts, and her love (immeasurable and eternal) will guide us always.
