Carlo was born May 5,1973 to his parents Jose D. Cayabyab and Resy T. Cayabyab in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a young navy kid, Carlo lived in South Carolina, San Jose, and final resident in Spring Valley. Carlo was raised in Spring Valley specifically “Crestwood” where he “ran” the streets of Moorpark with his many life long friends. Carlo attended Loma Elementary, Spring Valley Middle School, and graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1991. He then went on to study at the University of California San Diego where he graduated with a Bachelors in Bio-Chemistry. Carlo also attended Platt College where he obtained a degree in Computer Graphic Design.
Looking for adventure and wanting to protect and serve his country, Carlo began his Federal Service in December 2002 with the Department of Homeland Security TSA. In January 2005, Carlo transferred to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) where he spent the next 15 yrs protecting the US borders. Carlo was a very active team member with CBP where he was involved in the ATCET (Anti Terrorism Counter Enforcement Team), Narcotics Security Detail Team, MFF (Mobile Field Force), and Medical First Responder. Officer Carlo Cayabyab received the Blue Eagle Award, which is the highest award you can receive with the U.S. Customs and Boarder Patrol.
Carlo enjoyed anything to do with the water. He loved paddle boarding, jet skiing, boating, and swimming at the “Yabyab” ranch. He also loved his cars from his Mitsubishi Mighty Max, Lexus GS350, Toyota Tacoma “Taco”, and Dodge Mega Ram. Carlo had many friends and one of his greatest joys was being an MC for all his DJ friends, aka Don Carlo on the MIC. Carlo loved to sing karaoke. He had a wonderful voice and always had a huge smile on his face.
