Born on May 1, 1941, in Sam Neua, Laos, Chanh dedicated his life to creating a better future for those he loved. In 1981, he immigrated to San Diego as a refugee. Leaving behind the only home he had ever known, he embraced a new beginning with hope and determination. Through hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance, he built a life devoted to his family and created opportunities for future generations.
Chanh was the beloved husband of Maly Sphabmixay and a devoted father to three children: Soumana, Thavalinh, and Thinnavat. He was also a cherished grandfather to four grandchildren: Donna, Kaylee, Khloe, and Kaliyah.
Known for his quiet strength and gentle spirit, Chanh always put his family first. He believed that anything worth doing was worth doing well and approached life with care, integrity, and attention to detail. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to work hard, take pride in what they did, and always do their best.
Chanh found joy in tending his garden, watching wrestling, enjoying chocolate, and, above all, spending time with his family.
We will cherish his legacy of love, strength, kindness, perseverance, and devotion to family. Although he will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the example he set will remain with his family forever. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
