

Charlie transitioned Wednesday December 3rd, 2025, at the age of 73 in his home in Bonita surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Chula Vista to Charles R. Hagan Sr and Ethel Noriega Hagan, Charlie was raised in San Ysidro where he made many lifelong friendships. He graduated from Mar Vista High School and after college he went on to become a co-owner of the Torrey Pines Gift Shop. That was just the beginning of his many entrepreneurial endeavors leading him to invest in real estate throughout his life. Charlie’s family worked closely in the professional thoroughbred horse industry, and he even gave his wife, Linda, a racehorse as a wedding present when they were married in 1981.
Of his many lifetime accomplishments Charlie valued being the best Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Cousin, and Nephew above all else. Charlie was known for giving back to his family, friends, and community working with many charitable organizations including Rebuilding San Diego for over 30 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 44 years, Linda Lane Hagan; his daughters Courtney Mace (& her husband Mike Mace); Crystal Kennon (& her husband Andrew Kennon); and grandchildren Charlie Mace and Scarlet Basil Mace, along with his four siblings Barbara, John, Tommy, and Danny.
Services will be held Saturday, January 3rd at 9am at the Little Chapel of the Roses located at Glen Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary. All are welcome.
Flowers can be sent directly to the Little Chapel of the Roses at Glen Abbey (please do not send to the main office) between Friday, January 2nd – 8am Saturday, January 3rd at the latest.
