

He was raised in Mission Cliffs by his parents Sidney and Louise Lindroth and was the first of five boys.
Three brothers, Joseph, Timothy and Thomas have predeceased him. He and his family were members
of Grace Lutheran Church on Park Boulevard. He passed away New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021, at
Sharp Grossmont Hospital after several months of treatment for CIPD, a very rare nerve disease.
Cliff graduated from San Diego High School and from San Diego State University where he played
basketball for both school teams. Cliff earned his B.S. Degree from SDSU and then his Certified Public
Accountant Certificate and began his distinguished career with Haskins and Sells doing audits and taxes.
He was then hired by Frazee Paint Company as Chief Financial Officer where he held that position for
many years. During his long career, he received many accolades and awards for outstanding service.
Cliff later opened his own business, Lindroth CPA & Associates, in Mission Valley, where he practiced for
several decades before retiring in 2020. He had long time, loyal clients who respected his knowledge
and friendship. He encouraged young people he worked with in the accounting field to further their
careers by getting their CPA credentials.
Cliff was an avid racquetball player, loved basketball, football, golf and tennis. He was a huge collector
of model cars, Playboy magazines, Noir Movies, great music videos, art, cartoons and was a great
dancer. One of his hobbies was making beautiful collages of the pictures he loved to take and giving
them to friends.
After marriages, children, and grandchildren, Cliff met Carol Hanson and they were the light of each
other’s life. They had 24 years of happy traveling, cruising with friends, entertaining and dancing. They
always had big parties on the 4th of July and Christmas for family and friends and looked forward to their
annual trips to the Palm Springs Tennis Club where they met with friends. Other favorite vacation spots
were Hawaii, Spain and Portugal, Alaska and London. Cliff supported The Old Globe Theatre, the Zoo Ritz
and was a member of Toastmasters and Nice Guys.
Cliff was a generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. His survivors are his wife, Carol
Hanson. Children, Cliff A. Lindroth, Jr. (Patti), Michael Lindroth, Susan Wilding (Joe) and Holly Lindroth.
Grandchildren, Ashley Delzeit (Ryan), Bradley Lindroth, and Megan Wilding. Brother, Roger Lindroth
(Patricia). Nephew, Douglas Lindroth (Windy), Neice, Deborah Todd (Pete).
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 27, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Roses at Glen Abbey
Memorial Park in Bonita. Visitation for family and close friends will be January 26, from 12:00 – 4:00
p.m. at Glen Abbey Memorial Park. Donations can be made in his name
